Hope you enjoyed Halloween Fun Night!

Wow - we had about 500 people in the door for the annual Halloween Fun night, sponsored by Mt. View PTA!

We had a busy time in the cafeteria with the cupcake walk, face painting and temporary tattoos. There were a bunch of "trick-or-treat" stations down the main hallway, plus many activity stations in the gym. To top it off, there was a "haunted hallway" for those fearless adventurers!

I hope that you enjoyed the evening - we sure saw some smiling faces!

This event could not have happened without your support. So many people chipped in by volunteering their time, bringing in candy and cupcakes. Timberline HS students, as well as several middle schoolers, chipped in several hours and lots of their energy. Thank you, thank you for supporting these events!

In particular, I want to thank:
  • Shawn Smith, who coordinated the entire event and spent all afternoon setting up, with several helpers
  • Jodi Boutin, who helped funnel volunteers to Shawn
  • Jodi Boutin and Sabrina Hageman for working the book fair tirelessly. Jodi, thanks for coordinating the whole thing again!
  • Heather Armstrong, who was a huge asset in setting up and filling in wherever needed
  • Teri Palazzo, for helping organize, set up and for her obvious love of Halloween and face-painting!
There are so many of you to thank!! I hope I can do so, personally, as I see you again soon. PTA is fully staffed by volunteers and it was fantastic to see this evening come together and run so smoothly. And I've never seen so many wonderful and beautiful cupcakes!

If you are interested in having fun night events in 2010, please consider stepping forward to help coordinate. Without a Fun Night Coordinator, we will be unable to have any more of these events. This is your chance to really do something worthwhile for Mt. View!

Many thanks,
Brian Morgan
PTA President 2009-2010
